Located in Downtown Orlando, The Beacham Nightclub plays hip hop both on Fridays and Saturdays. Fridays are Ladies Night. Ladies get in free all night. Dudes get in free before 11 PM. Sundays are Latin nights. I think for about twelve bucks, it’s all you can drink. It might be fifteen bucks. Still, it’s all you can drink on Sundays.
I photograph all three nights. The following are pics I uploaded to Instagram. First, using iTunes, I uploaded the pics from my laptop to my phone. Next, I edited the photos in the Snapseed app. Finally, I uploaded the pics to Instagram. I rarely use filters.
Now, for the camera technical stuff. I shoot in manual. The aperture is 5.6. The shutter speed is usually 1/10 or 1/15. The ISO is usually 800. I don’t use direct flash. Direct flash flattens the image. For a more three dimensional look, I bounce the flash off a homemade reflector-diffuser. You can read about the reflector online.
Because I enjoyed the Instagram images, I decided to upload fifty of them for a blog post.
Update: I don’t work at the Beacham anymore. They fired my ass!
